Welcome to GeauxFit Training, a personalized approach to improving all aspects of your life. Our co-founders focus on small group fitness classes with a philosophy that combines nutrition, personal coaching, and strength conditioning in a positive environment to create a new you. At GeauxFit Training in Metairie you will run faster, get stronger, and look better naked.
Kristen Markel & Beaux Blackwood
Beaux and Kristen started GeauxFit Training with one thing in mind: being healthy is HARD but it does not have to be! As a nurse, Kristen saw so many people struggle with proper nutrition and getting enough physical activity, the top two health risk behaviors according to the CDC. Even her coworkers- medical professionals!- weren't always sure what to do to stay healthy. GeauxFit Training was started to provide a community for New Orleans where it is easy to stay active and eat well- two factors to living a long and healthy life!
Surrounding yourself with people who have the same goals and can support you is key for success in any endeavor. GeauxFit Training provides an active gym community with knowledgeable leaders to help you succeed with your fitness goals- whether it is to lose weight, gain muscle, or become a better athlete. Our programming is provided by a 20 year veteran in the fitness field with a BS in Exercise Science and countless certifications. It has a very high safety rate. Please read more about him here. We do a variety of movements including kettlebell workouts, barbell workouts, and body weight exercises.

Our Pricing is based on how often a week you come. We do require new members to complete a Training Camp which runs for 3 weeks, 3 times a week for an hour each class. For more information on our Training Camp please click here.
We have classes 7 days a week. If you are dropping in we do require that you have had some experience with the fit program that beings with a "c" whose name cannot be spoken. Please arrive 10-15 min early to sign a waiver, stretch, and mobilize.
We are conveniently located off Central Avenue between Jefferson Highway and Airline. Turn in-between the railroad tracks and follow the curves of the road. Click here for more detailed directions.
